The media and information Literacy Course is designed to provide leaners with basic literacy in media and information use and management. Learners acquire knowledge and understanding on the operations of the media and how the media influences public opinion and generates behavioural change
There is emphasis on exposing students to new media technology, and the social media era of ‘infodemic’.
Learners learn the related concepts of Misinformation, Disinformation and Malinformation, and how to identify fake news. Learners are also exposed to useful news and information verification tools and platforms.

Investigative Journalism
Investigative Journalism is one of the impactful yet controversial forms of journalism.
Investigative journalists navigate complex scenarios to bring compelling investigative stories that drive change in society.
This course exposes students to the Investigative Process right from identifying a credible lead, cultivating or contacting sources, source mapping, interviewing, and story writing.
Controversial investigative journalism methods and tactics including the use of clandestine methods such as subterfuge and entrapment receive critical attention in this course as students are provided the ethical guidelines and awareness for the use of such methods in investigative journalism.

Digital Media Skills
Our digital media skills training programme is tailored to meet your level of digital media proficiency.
